Reflecting on the Past Week

Whoa....... I have never seen so many colleges in that amount of time. In just a single week my entire class traveled to the three main colleges in the state of Utah. BYU (eh), UVU (eh eh), and U of U (WHOOO!).
Day 1: Haha as you can tell I really like U of U. However, that being said I did enjoy BYU; we got to tour campus and see all the different buildings and where certain classes were being held. Then we got to go to the devotional that morning and it was an amazing devotional. After that we had lunch and then toured campus some more and that's when we walked into their library. Now I've seen some pretty amazing libraries and BYU's was amazing! I loved it! Just the feel and seeing rows after rows of books! It was just awesome. After touring we met up at the Hinckly center and then went home.

Day 2: UVU was the second campus we went to, and this place was pretty amazing too. The coolest thing about this campus is that its all connected either over ground or under ground. So we got there and we walked up to their student area and we took a tour of their whole campus. It was an amazing thing to see so many students all inside and reading as compared to BYU's huge outside campus.

Day 3: U OF U!!! YES! Now this was a real treat to come to the U. Even though it was freezing and kind of snowing outside, it was truly a beautiful campus. The campus is bigger than BYU's, and the library was much better. Now I thought that BYU's library was big, and it is, but the U's had so much more to offer. Windows to draw and show diagrams on, little private office rooms for study groups, amazingly comfortable chairs, and the best library access system to get the books for you. The U was truly the coolest college that we visited this week!
Now while on these tours I realized quite a bit I realized that my future totally depends on what I do as a student, son, brother, friend, Mormon, and snowboarder. My college life will revolve around each of these aspects and what I do to show others that these are the things that I focus on in my life. I also realized that I was born to become a history lover, snowboard (of course), and to share my religion with others in this life and the life to come. While I was coming to that realization I found that a few things were holding me back from actually doing that. I realized that sometimes I am holding myself back from excelling or doing an awesome trick, another thing I realized was that there have been people in my life who have held me back for whatever reason, but they are usually no longer around me once I realize what they are doing to me. By realizing all these things I have now come to know that I can do great things. And no one but myself can hold me back from that potential that God has given to me.

  2. I am so glad that you felt comfy at the U. I think you made up for Mckay's awkwardness...Anyway. I love how UVU is your smallest post and the U's is the biggest. I have to agree with Jiho though!
